Workplace flu vaccinations

Flu virus cases are expected to surge this year, promoting the NHS to embark on its largest flu vaccination programme ever.

Unfortunately, few employees are eligible, while many of those who are will struggle to fit having a flu jab around work.

By offering onsite flu vaccinations you make it easy for all employees to protect themselves via their place of work.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Workplace flu vaccination FAQs

  • Who should be provided with Long Covid workplace rehabilitation?
Long Covid is officially defined as a health condition relating to symptoms that can persist more than 12 weeks after having Covid. Symptoms such as fatigue, breathlessness, brain fog, joint or muscle pain and loss of taste or smell. However, instead of encouraging people to wait three months, encourage anyone struggling with residual symptoms to come forward for support sooner. The sooner they can be helped with long covid recovery, the less sickness absence likely to be generated.
  • Who delivers the Long Covid workplace rehabilitation services?
Most people with Long Covid will need physio or a work-hardening programme. Where someone was intubated and experienced muscle wastage, this programme could include sessions with a physiotherapist to learn strength and conditioning techniques. If fatigue or breathlessness is an issue, they can be given breathing and pacing exercises. All of which will be delivered by our fully accredited PAM Physiotherapists or BASRaT registered Graduate Sports Rehabilitators.
  • What adjustments are typically needed for Long Covid recovery?
One of the biggest challenges associated with facilitating Long Covid recovery is the range of symptoms. The support needed by a former runner, who now can’t walk without getting breathless, is very different to someone overweight with extreme post-viral joint pain. That is why we conduct individual clinical assessments to identify what support each individual needs to get back to work. Typical adjustments include allowing the person to take micro-breaks to reduce fatigue or work from home to reduce join pain while commuting.
