Occupational Health

Our proactive occupational health services give employees impacted by a health condition rapid access to advice, reasonable adjustments and treatment. By helping them to remain in work while they recover, we can help you to reduce sickness absence and boost wellbeing.

Occupational Health

What is occupational health?

Occupational health is a valued employee benefit that just one in two UK employees have access to (compared to 90% of workers in France and Germany). It provides employees with access to expert health professionals who can support them with issues affecting their ability to attend or perform at work.

Traditionally seen as a way of dealing with absent employees, occupational health can also be used to help people remain in work. As our latest data analysis shows, our focus on early intervention prevented two thirds of employees from going absent. We achieved this by suggesting reasonable adjustments and signposting employees into expert clinical support, including counselling and physiotherapy, where needed.

We also provide a complete range of preventative occupational health services to help employers prevent ill-health and support employee wellbeing. These include risk assessments, health surveillance, pre-placement screening and occupational health and wellbeing education.
