MSK Physiotherapy
Help employees recover from musculoskeletal (MSK) issues and manage conditions to stay in work with our MSK physiotherapy services. Our end-to-end MSK physio service includes identifying and reducing risks to employees, treatment services and ergonomic equipment.

Musculoskeletal physiotherapy
Musculoskeletal (MSK) issues continue to undermine the health of the workforce, with one in four employees affected by an MSK issue. Our proactive musculoskeletal physiotherapy services, delivered by PAM Physio Solutions, can help you reduce MSK sickness absence in the following ways.
- Reduce the risk of employees developing MSK issues with risk management and education
- Reduce MSK absence by helping employees to recover before they become too sick to work
- Rehabilitate absent employees with reasonable adjustments and help to manage conditions in work
According to our latest data analysis, our proactive approach prevented 60% of employees from going absent. While our MSK physiotherapy treatment services helped half of absent employees return within a month.
By helping employees to recover from issues while they’re still in work, PAM Physio Solutions has helped us significantly reduce sickness absence and generate substantial cost savings

Our MSK Physiotherapy Services
Help employees nip MSK issues in the bud with our MSK Physiotherapy Triage Line (PhIL).
Our Physiotherapy Triage line (PhIL) is a first point of contact and provides colleagues with rapid access to musculoskeletal (MSK) advice and support. It signposts employees to relevant support services depending on their condition. This ensures swift access to high-quality support to minimise the impact on personal wellbeing and work.
Prevent employees from having to wait weeks, if not months for MSK treatment on the NHS, with a management referral into our MSK physio treatment service.
As well as providing treatment for employees, our musculoskeletal physiotherapy experts can also advise managers on reasonable adjustments to keep employees in work. Not only does this help employees to recover more quickly, but it also reduces the risk of the employee going absent.
As part of our commitment to providing an end-to-end service, we can also supply the equipment for any ergonomic recommendations.
Our chairs, desks and ergonomic accessories help employees to form healthy habits to reduce the risk of injury and boost productivity. Each product is designed to support healthy posture, comfort and adjustability to reduce the risk of musculoskeletal issues and discomfort.
Educate employees on how to reduce the risk of musculoskeletal injuries with our MSK physio training.
We cover a wide range of topics, including manual handling, ergonomic risks and display screen equipment (DSE). MSK physio training is tailored to your organisation and can be delivered as a one-off training event, a series of training sessions or on a one-to-one basis. Choose between in-person and online webinars depending on your budget.
Reduce the risk of MSK injury with our wide range of MSK physiotherapy assessments.
Meet your HSE statutory requirements to protect employees from the risk of MSK disorders. We also offer physical capability and function capability assessments to understand someone’s ability to carry out their work. Plus, functional OT workplace needs assessments to support those with a disability or long-term condition.
MSK physiotherapy benefits

Proactive absence reduction
The longer it takes for employees to access MSK physiotherapy, the more likely they are to become long-term sick. Our focus on early intervention and encouraging employees to seek support at the earliest opportunity can prevent three out of five employees from going absent.

Manager-friendly recommendations
As well as supporting employees, we also provide education for managers on how to encourage employees to ask for help. Plus consult with managers before assessing employees, to deliver actionable, reasonable MSK physio adjustments that work for both the individual and the business.

Data-driven insights
Our safe and secure OHIO system allows you to see all MSK physio referrals and access insightful management information (MI), including Power BI analytics. We use these data insights to let you know about any MSK hotspots, with recommendations on how best to address them.
M&S provides staff with physiotherapy from PAM Physio Solutions
Marks & Spencer has enhanced the employee benefits it offers by launching a free MSK physiotherapy service. Any of its 60,000 employees affected by a musculoskeletal (MSK) issue, such as back pain or muscle sprain, will now be able to self-refer themselves for free advice and up to six physiotherapy sessions.
“At a time when NHS waiting times and rising costs are making it difficult for employees to access physiotherapy, PAM Physio Solutions is enabling us to empower our people to look after themselves.”
